Curriculum Vitae:

Sergej Bechtoldt obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Hamburg. During his studies, he was a research intern at the DIW Berlin and the IZA in Bonn and spent a semester each studying at Charles University in Prague and at the University of Latvia in Riga. In his Master’s thesis, he analyzed the satisfaction of self-employed individuals by matching methods and SOEP data.

In October 2018, Sergej joined the Ruhr Graduate School of Economics and since October 2019, he works for the Chair of Health Economics of the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Fields of Research:

Sergej is interested in applied microeconometrics and research questions related to health. He gained experience in the fields of health and labor economics.
