Economic history of epidemics

This seminar will be devoted to exploring a variety of current topics related with the effects of past major epidemic events towards the population and the economy. The aim is to cover epidemics since the plague, the epidemics of industrial revolution (e.g cholera) and up until the important epidemics of 20th Century (Spanish flu, Tuberculosis, HIV etc).
